BLYTHE

I've become a bit obsessed with Blythe dolls as of recently. It's a weird obsession, but I think they're unbelievably cool looking and interesting. I actually ended up purchasing a knock off Blythe doll: the Basaak, from Ebay. She's extremely similar in appearance to the juniemoon versions, which I hope to one day purchase. I will post pictures of her when I can, and I'll also post before and afters of my customization process with her. To give you an idea of what she looks like, she has long black hair with bangs that go to her eyes. Her chips are emerald green, royal blue, silver, and light pink. She came with two outfits, one is a colonial looking dress, another is a short skirt/black shirt combo.

My plans on customizing her are going to be very simple, since it's my first time doing so. I've read a lot of tutorials, and I hope that I'll be able to make her look the way I envision her to look. I want to give her a matte finish with sort of doe looking eyes that look sunken in. I also want to make her lips a little more plump. I'm debating whether or not to purchase chalk pastels or simply use regular makeup.

As for outfits, I want to make high quality dresses/coats/skirts/socks, so that I can sell them on etsy. I want to make them based off of outfits that I find inspiration in. I'll post here when I decide whether or not to do so.

PS If anybody has any tips on the customization process, please leave them below!! I'd love to have some help!

BEST LOOKS // THE OSCARS

Jennifer Lopez: Elie Saab

This dress is absolutely incredible. The shade of it nearly matches the beautiful glow of Lopez's skin. She truly looks like a goddess in the dress, and, in all honesty, she has never looked better than she does tonight. The pulled back hair perfectly shows off her glowing skin. She is radiating.

Reese Witherspoon: Tom Ford

This dress is shaped perfectly to her body, draping over her and hugging her curves. Her neat hair that's tucked behind her ears, draws attention to her eyes that nearly match the color of her dress.

Oprah Winfrey: Custom Vera Wang

Another tan dress that makes the wearer look like a goddess. Winfrey looks elegantly magnificent in this gown. The color looks outstanding on her and emphasizes the glow of her skin.

Emma Stone: Elie Saab

At first when I saw this dress, I thought it was the worst color for someone with Stone's pale skin to wear. But, as I saw more shots of the dress, I realized it looked absolutely magnificent on her. Her scarlet hair matched the lime green, making it shine a gold hue.

Rita Ora: Marchesa

Although I usually don't like mermaid dresses, this dress on Ora fits her body so well, it was like it was made for her. Her slicked back hair draws the attention to her beautiful face. The nude lipstick makes the gold from her dress and her earrings shine even brighter.

Jenna Dewan-Tatum: Zuhair Murad

This dress makes Dewan-Tatum look like a Greek goddess with her olive skin and bright blue eyes. The embellishments on the dress create a beautiful addition to the simplicity of her white dress.

Zendaya: Vivienne Westwood

The first thing that caught my attention from this look was Zendaya's dreadlocks, which look so cool on her. The whole look is so stunningly chic and effortlessly cool. Zendaya is truly a fashion icon of her generation.

Keira Knightley: Valentino

This dress looks so ethereal on Knightley, as if it were stitched together by seams of heaven and the earth. The lettering on it looks so pretty and romantic. She looks like a forest pixie, and the stitching across the stomach both frames her growing belly and almost makes you forget she is pregnant.

David Oyelowo: Dolce & Gabbana

I normally don't put guys in this list, because its just a tux, after tux, after tux, and men that differ from the norm usually don't do so very memorably. But this look makes Oyelowo look so handsome. The color contrasts his skin in such a beautiful way, and the red on red on red actually looks so dapper on him.

Best: Lupita Nyong'o: Calvin Klein Collection

These accented pearls on Nyong'o's dress make her look like a work of art. The dress is similar to a sculpture in it's magnificence. It's typically impossible for a winning actress to match her look from her winning year, but Nyong'o succeeded with this pearl gown. The dress actually has more than 6000 pearls embellished on it. Calvin Klein instagrammed this close up of her dress with the caption: "All the details #Oscars #calvinkleinlive"

About Me

Hello!

My name is Elizabeth and I currently live in Texas...

I'm going to be going to college soon...I have no idea where, but I hope it's somewhere nice.

I love animals and dogs and Quentin Tarantino.

I wish that I could be more specific here, but I have no idea even what to say.

Fashion is a major inspiration of mine for both my lifestyle and my attitude. I love clean cuts on clothes and statement pieces. I love eclectic, vintage finds that remind me of different cultures and world backgrounds.

I hope to one day to travel the whole world, from Hong Kong to Berlin to Japan to New York City. I have no idea what I'm going to be doing with my life, but a psychic told me that I was going to be successful in business and will travel across the sea in three years. (My friend went the next day to the same psychic...she told her the same thing...but y'know)

Maybe later I'll find something better to write in here.

Thank you for reading!
